1) Definitions
Pre-purchase inspection : inspection carried out by MHC before purchasing a vehicle, resulting in a report.

2) Nature of the guarantee
90-day warranty is a limited protection intended to reduce the risk of major failures on certain mechanical components that are expensive to repair.

Electric and hybrid vehicles may be eligible. Coverage may include, where applicable, certain electric traction-related components (as per section 5 and exclusions).

The 90-day warranty primarily covers powertrain.

6) Maximum covered amount and deductible
Coverage limit until 1,500 1Q-4Q CAD (parts + labor) for eligible repairs during the warranty period, subject to these terms and conditions.

7) What is not covered
Without limiting the other exclusions, the following are not covered:
Problems already detected mentioned in the MHC inspection report.
Normal maintenance and consumables: oil, filters, brakes, tires, 12V batteries, spark plugs, fluids, alignment, etc.
Normal wear and noises/conditions not related to a covered internal breakdown (vibrations, aging, corrosion, aesthetics).
Accidental damage Collision, vandalism, flood, fire, theft, etc.
Misuse / Modifications : abusive use, overheating due to negligence, unauthorized modifications, tuning, towing beyond specifications, etc.
Leaks and seals (unless directly caused by an eligible internal failure, according to diagnosis and authorization).
Exploratory diagnostics and unauthorized charges (e.g., dismantling without prior approval).
8) Claims Process
For a repair to be eligible, you must comply all the following steps:
Stop using the vehicle if driving could worsen the break.
To get diagnosed the vehicle to a garage of your choice.
Get a permit before to proceed with repairs (no repairs shall be performed without authorization, except for documented safety emergencies).
Provide:
the Inspection report,
the diagnostic from the garage,
the mileage current,
the submission detailed (parts + labor),
all information requested to validate eligibility.
After authorization, perform the repair, then transmit the final invoice.

9) “Money back if you don't buy the vehicle” policy”
Because the goal of a pre-purchase inspection is to help you decide, MHC has a simple policy:
9.1 Refund if you do not purchase the vehicle
Yes, after receiving the inspection report, you decide Do not buy the inspected vehicle, the “guarantee” portion” is refundable, provided that:

no claim has been opened,
you confirm (in writing) that the vehicle has not been purchased.
Reimbursement is made to the Original payment method, generally within 5 to 10 business days (according to the bank).
9.2 Refund if the vehicle is not eligible: note C
If the vehicle does not obtain an admissible result (not A/B) or does not meet the admissibility criteria, the “warranty” portion is canceled and refunded.
10) Cancellation, transfer, end of warranty
The warranty expires at the end of the 90 days, or if the ceiling is reached, whichever comes first.
The warranty is tied to the inspected vehicle (VIN) and the client's file. It is not automatically transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.
11) Your legal rights in Quebec
These terms are in addition to the protections provided by applicable laws. They are not intended to limit your rights under the legal warranties (e.g., warranty of proper functioning / statutory warranties, as applicable).
12) Limitation of Liability
MHC is not responsible:
indirect damages (loss of time, loss of income, transportation costs, etc.),
Debris resulting from misuse, lack of maintenance, or external conditions,
Repairs made without prior authorization (unless a documented safety emergency).
