Warranty Policy – Engine and Transmission

Object of the guarantee

This warranty is a limited coverage offered to the buyer of a pre-owned vehicle inspected by Mécanique Home Concept.
It covers internal mechanical failures of the engine and transmission for the duration of the warranty.

Available formulas

• • • • 12-month / 20,000 km warranty – 1000 $

      • 36-month / 60,000 km warranty – 2500 $

The first deadline reached (time or mileage) ends the warranty.

Blanket

The warranty covers only the following parts:

Engine

Engine block and all lubricated internal parts (pistons, crankshaft, valves, etc.)

Transmission

Automatic or manual transmission, torque converter, internal shafts, internal gears.

Warranty exclusions

Are not covered :

• • • • • Oil, gaskets, belts, filters, spark plugs, engine accessories, sensors.
        • Any damage caused by a lack of maintenance, overheating, vehicle modification, or misuse.
        • Vehicles with tampered or non-functional odometers.
        • Vehicles used for commercial transport, Uber, delivery, competition, or rental.
        • Failures prior to the warranty start date.
        • Breakage due to an accident, fire, flood, or any other disaster.

Conditions for validity

• • • • The client must do a complete inspection of Home Mechanical Concepts and subscribe to the warranty within 7 days of purchasing the vehicle with a Classification A or B by the inspector
      • The vehicle must not have any engine trouble codes (Check Engine light) at the time of inspection.
      • The customer must perform regular oil changes (every 8,000 km maximum) and keep the invoices.
      • In case of breakage, the client must:
        1. 1. Contact us before any repair.
           2. Provide a comprehensive appraisal by a garage authorized by our company.
           3. Authorize a vehicle inspection.

Limits of liability

• • • • The maximum reimbursement amount is 2,000 $ per claim and 5,000 $ in total over the entire warranty period.
      • Repairs must be authorized in writing by Mécanique Home Concept.
      • No compensation will be offered if the customer repairs without our approval.

Claim procedures

All claims must be sent by email to: Garantie@meca-home-concept.com

Include: warranty number, vehicle purchase invoice, detailed diagnostic, and garage estimate.

Cancellation

The warranty expires:

• • • • • At the expiration of the term or foreseen mileage.
        • In case of vehicle sale (non-transferable).
        • If the maintenance conditions are not met.

Governing Law

This contract is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec. In the event of a dispute, the courts of the district of Montreal shall have sole jurisdiction.
