A clear explanation of the public application process, eligibility, private offer and responsibilities.
Effective date: August 31, 2026
These terms describe the process of applying for and purchasing an extended mechanical warranty from Meca Home Concept (“MHC”). They do not constitute confirmation of eligibility, an offer for sale or a warranty certificate. Before any payment, MHC provides the customer with a private offer containing the total price, the identity of the external provider and the essential information about the proposed warranty.
MHC markets and sells the warranty to the customer, collects payment and issues the corresponding invoice. After payment, MHC requests registration of the contract with a specialized external provider. That provider issues and administers the contract and claims in accordance with the terms accepted by the customer.
The identity and contact details of the external provider are disclosed in the private offer before payment. They also appear in the documents provided when the warranty is issued.
An inspection performed by MHC is required before a warranty can be offered. An application submitted through the public form only starts the vehicle assessment. It does not constitute acceptance, a purchase or coverage.
The offer is limited to vehicles that are 12 years old or less and have 200,000 km or less, subject to inspection and final acceptance. MHC examines the observed condition of the vehicle and the information and documents provided. MHC may decline to present an offer if the vehicle does not meet the eligibility criteria. A favourable inspection does not certify the absence of defects or make a pre-existing problem eligible for coverage.
The applicable start date, starting odometer reading and end conditions are stated in the private offer and confirmed on the issued certificate. The plan names above cannot be interpreted separately from the contract.
The warranty is tied to the vehicle and may be transferred to a new owner, subject to the formalities set out in the private offer and issued contract.
When a vehicle is deemed eligible, MHC sends a personalized private offer that the customer can review, save and print before deciding.
The offer includes the identity of the external provider, the approved plan, selling price, taxes, total, deductible, coverage limits, covered components, disclosed exclusions, maintenance obligations, claims procedure, cancellation rights and, where applicable, transfer terms.
The customer may accept, request corrections to or decline the offer before payment. The issued contract cannot substitute different coverage without the customer’s consent; mandatory rights provided by law remain applicable.
Payment is made to MHC through the warranty product shown on the MHC website. MHC collects payment on its own platform, then requests registration of the contract with the external provider.
Payment initiates this issuance request; it does not, by itself, confirm that the warranty is in force. Coverage begins only on the date stated on the certificate issued in the customer’s name. After issuance, the customer receives the certificate, contract, contract number and claims contact details.
If the warranty cannot be issued, MHC refunds the full amount paid for that warranty. No different coverage is substituted without the customer’s consent.
The offer corresponds to the AT Program – Section A (1 to 16). Subject to the specific parts listed in the contract, the categories covered are: engine, automatic and manual transmissions, differential, transfer case, front-wheel drive, turbocharger, supercharger, steering, seals and bushings only in the event of a major failure of a covered mechanical component, excluding the oil pan gasket, eligible towing, essential accessories, essential powertrain, brakes, electrical systems and air conditioning.
Only the parts expressly listed in sections 1 to 16 are eligible. Sections 17 to 27 and additional options, including no deductible, unlimited mileage, double claim, Service Routier+ and premium reimbursement, are not included in the offer described.
Problems that are present, known or reasonably detectable before the effective date are not covered. The essential restrictions and exclusions applicable to this offer are presented before payment. The issued contract sets out the technical list of eligible parts, detailed exclusions, maintenance obligations and the full procedure; it does not replace essential information disclosed before payment or affect rights granted by law.
After the warranty is issued, claims are administered by the provider named on the certificate. The customer must follow the authorization procedure in the contract before authorizing a repair. A repair started without the required authorization may be denied in accordance with the contract.
MHC can help the customer locate their documents and the correct contact. Authorization and settlement decisions are made in accordance with the contract administered by the external provider.
The customer must provide complete and accurate information about the vehicle, its VIN, odometer reading, condition, use, maintenance, modifications and known problems. The customer must present the vehicle for inspection, retain maintenance invoices and follow the claims procedure.
Any consequence arising from inaccurate or incomplete information remains subject to the contract and applicable laws.
The extended mechanical warranty is in addition to the warranties provided by law and does not replace them. Before presenting the private offer, MHC expressly brings the customer’s attention to thenotice concerning the legal warranty, in a format the customer can save and print.
Where applicable, the customer is also informed of the existence and remaining term of a free manufacturer’s warranty.
The consumer may cancel the extended warranty contract without fees or penalties within 10 days of entering into it, subject to applicable legal provisions. The private offer specifies the recipient, postal address and email address to which written notice must be sent.
The information collected is used to assess eligibility, prepare the offer, collect payment, request issuance of the warranty and administer the contract. To the extent necessary, it may be shared with the external provider identified before payment and with service providers involved in these operations. Its processing remains subject to the MHC privacy policy and applicable laws.
These terms do not alter warranties or contracts already issued. Each earlier warranty remains governed by the documents and terms applicable when it was issued.
