Previous terms – MHC 12- and 36-month warranties

Purpose of the warranty

This warranty provides limited coverage to the buyer of a used vehicle inspected by Mécanique Home Concept.
It covers internal mechanical failures of the engine and transmission for the duration of the warranty.

Available plans

• • • • 12-month / 20,000-km warranty – $1,000

      • 36-month / 60,000-km warranty – $2,500

The warranty ends when either the time or mileage limit is reached, whichever comes first.

Coverage

The warranty covers only the following parts:

Engine

Engine block and all lubricated internal parts (pistons, crankshaft, valves, etc.)

Transmission

Automatic or manual transmission, torque converter, internal shafts, internal gears.

Warranty exclusions

The following are not covered :

• • • • • Oil, gaskets, belts, filters, spark plugs, engine accessories, sensors.
        • Any failure caused by lack of maintenance, overheating, vehicle modifications or misuse.
        • Vehicles with tampered or non-functional odometers.
        • Vehicles used for commercial transport, Uber, delivery, competition, or rental.
        • Failures prior to the warranty start date.
        • Damage caused by an accident, fire, flood or any other loss.

Requirements for the warranty to remain valid

• • • • The customer must arrange a complete inspection by Mécanique Home Concept and purchase the warranty within 7 days after purchasing the vehicle, with an A or B rating assigned by the inspector
      • The vehicle must not have any engine trouble codes (Check Engine light) at the time of inspection.
      • The customer must have the oil changed regularly, at intervals of no more than 8,000 km, and retain the invoices.
      • In the event of a failure, the customer must:
        1. 1. Contact us before any repair.
           2. Provide a full assessment from a repair shop approved by our company.
           3. Authorize a vehicle inspection.

Limits of liability

• • • • The maximum reimbursement is $2,000 per claim and $5,000 in total over the entire warranty period.
      • Repairs must be authorized in writing by Mécanique Home Concept.
      • No compensation will be provided if the customer has repairs performed without our approval.

Claims procedure

All claims must be sent by email to: Garantie@meca-home-concept.com

Include: the warranty number, vehicle purchase invoice, detailed diagnosis and repair shop estimate.

Cancellation

The warranty expires:

• • • • • When the specified time or mileage limit is reached.
        • If the vehicle is sold (the warranty is non-transferable).
        • If the maintenance conditions are not met.

Governing Law

This contract is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec. In the event of a dispute, the courts of the district of Montreal shall have sole jurisdiction.
